In Mallorca, the garden is not a separate feature, it is part of the home’s identity. From rustic fincas in the Tramuntana mountains to sleek villas by the sea, Garden Design in Mallorca plays a fundamental role in shaping how a property is experienced and perceived. A well-designed landscape doesn’t just beautify — it creates flow, defines emotion, and enhances the architectural narrative of a house.

At LF91, our approach to garden design in Mallorca goes beyond aesthetics. We understand gardens as spaces of tranquillity, connection, and Mediterranean identity. Each project is an opportunity to celebrate nature while creating outdoor environments that are functional, sustainable and timeless.
The Mediterranean climate, with its long dry summers and mild winters, requires thoughtful planning and deep respect for native ecosystems. Garden design here is as much about preservation as it is about creation. It’s about designing landscapes that thrive naturally, using local species and ancient techniques, such as dry-stone construction and passive irrigation, to ensure longevity and low maintenance.
For clients seeking a refined lifestyle on the island, landscape architecture in Mallorca provides an opportunity to extend the living space outdoors. It frames the home with textures, colours and scents that shift through the seasons, while also offering shade, privacy, and peace.
One of the defining aspects of garden design in Mallorca is the emphasis on outdoor living. The Mediterranean lifestyle celebrates time spent outside, whether dining under a pergola, relaxing in a hammock beneath olive trees, or swimming in a pool that feels part of the landscape.
To meet this need, LF91 designs gardens that are not only visually pleasing but inherently practical. Our outdoor areas are tailored to the rhythms of island life:
We often integrate:
These elements come together to create outdoor environments that are welcoming, elegant and deeply rooted in their setting.
What sets Mediterranean garden design in Mallorca apart is its subtle complexity. Rather than striving for ornamental abundance, these gardens speak a quieter language, one of restraint, harmony and material honesty. We favour:
This minimalism is not born from scarcity, but from intention. It allows each element to breathe, to stand out, and to relate to the architecture it surrounds.
As climate awareness grows, sustainable landscape design in Mallorca has become more than a trend — it’s a necessity. At LF91, we incorporate:
This commitment to sustainability not only protects the island’s fragile ecosystems, but also creates gardens that require less maintenance, less water, and offer greater resilience over time.
The gardens we design at LF91 are not merely beautiful, they are experiential. Every angle, every step, every framed view is intentional. Whether you are walking barefoot across warm limestone pavers, brushing past fragrant herbs, or watching the evening light filter through a pergola, our goal is to create moments of presence and pleasure.
This is where garden architecture in Mallorca reaches its full potential: as a choreography of space, material and nature that resonates emotionally with those who inhabit it.
Designing gardens in Mallorca is not merely about planting native species. It is about working with the terrain, the light, the winds. It means interpreting the island’s geography and translating it into living, breathing, functional spaces. At LF91, every landscape project in Mallorca is approached as a holistic vision, where structure, topography and vegetation intertwine to tell a coherent and lasting story.
Mediterranean garden design is defined by a refined balance between rustic character and natural elegance. We use honest materials, native low-water species, and construction techniques that respect the land’s original form. Each garden responds not only to the architecture of the house, but also to the lifestyle of its owners.

Can Pera represents a delicate balance between bold contemporary architecture and traditional Mallorcan surroundings. The garden design had to respond to the home’s geometric volumes and refined material palette without overwhelming them.
The solution was a minimalist garden design in Mallorca tailored to blend rather than compete. Warm-toned gravel, Mediterranean shrubs such as lavender, rosemary and mastic, and a discreet integrated irrigation system define a layout that feels both deliberate and effortless. Pergolas with climbing plants provide natural shade, softening the sharp lines of concrete over time.

Connecting indoors and out was essential. Large picture windows frame curated views of planted areas, offering privacy, natural cooling, and a feeling of seamless transition. The result is a contemplative outdoor space, one that elevates the rural setting into something elegant, serene and entirely liveable.

Can Puig is a home with a story, and a landscape that carries as much weight as the architecture. Our goal was to honour the estate’s past while reimagining it through the lens of contemporary landscape architecture.
Taking advantage of the sloping terrain, we created a series of tiered garden terraces supported by dry-stone walls. These levels host ancient olive trees, almond trees and aromatic plants, creating a terraced Mediterranean garden that feels timeless.

The pool is discreetly embedded into the slope, surrounded by low vegetation that opens up the view while preserving privacy.
Paths were defined using compacted gravel and local stone, and outdoor living areas — a pergola, chill-out space and alfresco dining zone — are carefully positioned to suit different times of day.
Each is framed by greenery and topography, offering both intimacy and openness.

This Mediterranean garden in Mallorca is not a replica of nature — it’s a respectful dialogue with it. A space where generations can gather, unwind and experience Mallorca’s essence through scent, texture and space.

La Coma is set within softly rolling hills, surrounded by native forest and open views. Here, the terrain dictated the design. The challenge was to create a landscape in Mallorca that embraced, not tamed, the natural setting.
We adopted a low-impact design strategy. The existing woodland was preserved as a living backdrop, and planted zones were kept close to the house, using vegetation that transitions subtly from designed to wild. Agaves, ornamental grasses, lavender and cacti were chosen for their drought-resilience and visual rhythm.

The pool was conceived as a water mirror, with soft edges and a stone-toned finish. Its infinity edge leads the gaze toward the forest slope. Outdoor lounges are placed beneath natural shade and fitted with light wood furniture and linen-toned fabrics, reinforcing the feeling of laid-back elegance.
La Coma is a statement in sustainable garden design. Every decision respects the land’s spirit and enhances its natural beauty — a landscape that feels both untouched and deeply considered.
Each LF91 project begins with listening — to the land, to the architecture, and to the people who will live there. We analyse topography, sun exposure, soil quality and wind direction before making a single design decision. Then we craft a landscape that is tailored to your lifestyle, whether that means low-maintenance native gardens, family-friendly terraces, or sophisticated entertaining areas.
We collaborate with some of the best local artisans and plant nurseries in Mallorca, ensuring that every stone, plant and structure meets the highest standards. Every detail is considered: irrigation, drainage, furniture, lighting and zoning. The result?
Luxury gardens in Mallorca that feel effortless, yet are built to last.

Whether you're planning a new build or transforming a historic estate, LF91’s landscape team in Mallorca will guide your project from concept to completion.
