This renovated country house can be found at the beginning of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. A traditional Majorcan house more than one hundred years old. Its Dutch owners fell in love with it from the very first moment and decided that it would be ideal for them to escape from their city’s routine and come to the island to disconnect.
Its owners wished to maintain the same essence that it had always had, that's why some details that make it so unique were restored inside, such as the arches, the cobbled entrance and the ground floor lounge. The rest of the rooms were tiled with bush hammered and brushed stones from Binissalem.
The distribution respects the logic of the existing structure, adapting it to the new functional requirements of this family, giving place to four rooms with en-suite bathroom and a restroom. The kitchen has recovered the country style it had always had with wooden materials, from Estils i Formes, returning that surrounding traditional essence to the home.
The intention was to restore the strong presence of its original elements not from a historical perspective but from their architectural qualities, placing emphasis on space, the entrance of light and the play of textures and colours.
