A gem in the centre of the city
In the centre of Palma there are two very special streets. While one connects Plaza de España with Plaza Mayor, the other runs from the avenues to the main theatre and continues, almost without meaning to, to the Rambla del Born and the port.
The first is pedestrianised, and hundreds of people pass along it on foot every day, stopping at one of the local shops in the area. The second is another of Palma’s arteries. As one of the two streets that allow access to the centre by car, it is essential to the city. Right between these two streets, off a passage that links them, on the second floor of an anonymous building, like a diamond in a mountain, stands this apartment. Herringbone wood floors and ceilings and walls ornamented with mouldings and cornices balance the space.
Natural materials abound in the home. Marble lends prestige and warmth to the kitchens and bathrooms and, together with wood, embraces colder materials such as steel and glass. In this flat every centimetre has been studied so that each room feels completely spacious. Everything is in its place and everything has a reason.
